Creative Outlets

Now that I am done with Les Miserables, I'm looking for a new creative outlet.  I was hoping that my contractor would have had a good start on my remodel by now, so that I could poor my creative energies into decorating.  Alas, that was not meant to be, and I am spinning my wheels.  I have projects planned, but nothing that I really wanted to start until summer time.

Since I can not decorate, I'm not ready to start my summer writing projects, and I don't feel like hauling my sewing machine and sewing goodies to Greenbush, I am going to work on my photography.  I can take a mean picture, but I think that I need to step it up a notch before summer arrives.  I've been hired by Rocky Point to take photos (of people fishing, people dining at the restaurant, etc) for their promotional materials, and I'm hoping to expand.  There are just so many wonderful photography opportunities in the summer (Weddings!  Senior Pictures!  Lovely sunsets!  Beautiful wildlife!) that I'm pretty stoked.

As I am pining for warm weather and all of the wonderful things that come with it, it does not help that Northern Minnesota is in the throws of the coldest, nastiest spring in memory.  After five inches of extra wet, extra slippery snow on Monday, we are now waiting another dumping tomorrow.

I am so sick of snow.  Seriously.
